BREAKING: OHIO PPP OBAMA 50-39!
Tue Jun 17, 2008 at 08:04:06 AM PDT
Ohio just shifted from -8 to +11 Obama in the latest PPP Poll:
Raleigh, N.C. – Barack Obama kicks off the general election with a 50-39 lead over John McCain in Ohio, according to the newest survey from Public Policy Polling.
It’s a significant change from PPP’s most recent previous Ohio survey, conducted in March, which found Obama trailing McCain 49-41 during the heart of the Jeremiah
Wright controversy.

You know how CNN.com/live often has a title that doesn't match the event? Well this one is particularly funny. So much so that I just couldn't resist saving it & sharing
"McCain Fundraiser Event"

Geraldine Ferraro, STFU.

In her latest rampage, Geraldine Ferraro states, Obama has lost women 'with sexist campaign'
Geraldine Ferraro, the only woman to run on a major party presidential ticket and a supporter of Hillary Clinton, has accused Barack Obama of conducting a "terribly sexist" campaign.
Does anyone remember what the Red/Blue electoral map looked like in 1984, when Geraldine Ferraro was on the presidential ticket?
USAToday/Gallup: Obama 20% lead National
Tue May 13, 2008 at 09:31:06 AM PDT
In the latest USA/Gallup poll, the glaringly obvious omission is the Obama-Clinton percentages. However, it does reveal the following facts:
73% of Clinton supporters want a Obama-Clinton ticket
43% of Obama supporters want a Obama-Clinton ticket
55% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents want an Obama-Clinton ticket
537 democratic and democratic-leaning independents polled
A small bit of grade school algebra deduces that the Obama-Clinton split is 60% Obama, 40% Clinton.
Grade 5 math on the jump.
MEDIA DECEPTION: AP-Ipsos Poll
Tue Apr 29, 2008 at 01:21:21 AM PDT
Today, mainstream media made a much ballyhooed fuss about the latest AP-Ipsos poll, taken 4/23 - 4/27, where Clinton's numbers versus McCain were stronger than Obama's numbers versus McCain.
Sure, they were right about that. But why didn't they say anything about the REST of the poll? Why didn't they compare it with the SAME POLL TAKEN 2 WEEKS AGO??

OBAMA STEALS AZ SUPERDELEGATE IN UPSET!
Sat Apr 26, 2008 at 05:40:31 PM PDT
The Obama camp was bracing for Clinton to gain up to 4 superdelegates today.
But, instead, Clinton has gotten only 1 so far, and Obama has won 1 of the Arizona slots in an upset!
OBAMA: 43 SDs TO CLINCH [Updated x2]
Wed Apr 23, 2008 at 09:27:23 PM PDT
Obama needs only 43 more unpledged superdelegates to clinch the nomination. That's right. Not 100, not 60. Just 43. At 43 more currently-named, unpledged superdelegates, Obama and his supporters can claim that Hillary Clinton cannot win.
Here's why:
- If you've played strategic boardgames, you know that the cardinal rule is that you declare victory and stop playing when your win is possible and your opponent's is not. At that point, your opponent becomes irrelevant. Remember McCain vs. Huckabee?
- 305 UNPLEDGED SUPERDELEGATES IS A MYTH. Please repeat this over and over. There are only 240 undeclared Superdelegates, because 65 are Add-Ons, and their selection process is not arbitrary.
When Obama wins another 43 superdelegates, although he has not yet reached 2024 delegates, his supporters will be able to argue tat as a matter of practicality, Hillary Clinton no longer has a viable path to 2024 delegates.

Clinton: 'Not relevant' last time I went to church, fired gun
Sun Apr 13, 2008 at 01:27:54 PM PDT
Hillary Clinton said Sunday a query about the last time she fired a gun or attended church services "is not a relevant question in this debate" over Barack Obama’s recent comments on small town Americans.
The truth is, she's screwed no matter how she answers the question.
My thoughts on why, after the jump...
Biased Lou Dobbs Poll
Fri Apr 11, 2008 at 04:41:46 PM PDT
In response to the "small town" comments made by Barack Obama in San Francisco, the Lou Doubbs show has devoted the entire hour to the subject. This, according to some Talking Heads, will be a significant problem for the campaign.
Lou Dobbs has an online poll at the moment:
Do you believe that Senator Barack Obama's comments reveal his elitist attitude toward every hardworking American?
YES
NO

Ok, after observing 15 months of criss-crossing the the country, rubber chicken, sniper fire, and righteous indignation, one thing is for certain: there are more new, first-time Democratic primary voters than ever.
But do they understand campaign lingo?
To help them with confusing politico latte-liberal speak, I have compiled a list of translations for the lay person.
Poverty Czar. We want to feed, house, cloth and educate the poor. Solution: give them a King.
Superdelegate. Fellas that get 1,000 nice emails a day until they pick a champ. Then they get 500 nasty emails a day.

Michigan Re-vote dead: Opinions
Wed Mar 19, 2008 at 09:59:27 AM PDT
Both Michigan and Florida revotes now seem to have passed beyond the realm of possibility. From Politico:
The Senate Dems just had a long caucus meeting following their long phone call with the Gang of Four [as Carl Levin and others pushing a re-vote are called], and the result is that no one moved. Votes aren't there. Thus, it will not go to a vote in the Senate. And barring some other last minute miracle that doesn't involve those four, the Governor, and Hillary traveling to Michigan, it is dead as a doornail.
Obviously, Clinton loses an opportunity to catch some much-needed delegates in this. However, my question to you all, Obama and Clinton supporters alike is:
Why do people blame Obama for this?
